About KUMI

A group that’s come together.

KUMI is a collective of small, hands-on evenings in London. We cook, we bake, we share a long table, and somewhere between the first slice and the last coffee, a room of strangers turns into a group.

What KUMI means
kumi/ koo · mee /noun, Japanese

A group of people who’ve come together. A team, a class, a crew.

That’s the whole idea. You arrive on your own, and by the time you leave you’re part of a table that made something together and wants to do it again.

People open up when their hands are busy.

01Make something.

A recipe, a pizza, a batch of brownies. Something to do with your hands means nobody has to perform.

02Share a table.

Small rooms and long tables, so everyone ends up talking to everyone.

03Leave with people.

The food is good. The people you meet are the bit that lasts.

Three ways in.

Each series has its own room and its own feel. Pick the one that fits your evening.
